FAQ
Below you'll find some tips, tricks, and recommendations on how to make the best of BundlePay. Should you have any further questions, please do email us at team@bundlepay.co
What is BundlePay?
BundlePay is a service that enables multiple users to come together to form one subscription, making it incredibly simple to charge a consumer for access to multiple different creator services.
Why bundle?
"The only way to make money is bundling and unbundling"
Subscription bundles have been around in business for a long time. They are a great way to provide added value to consumers, distribute money across multiple products, and ultimately drive longer retention for participants in the bundle. A great example of bundling is The Disney Bundle. You might not pay for access to Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu individually, but bundle them together at a slightly discounted price and your sold!
BundlePay is putting the power of bundling into the hands of creators. We strive to make it so incredibly easy for creators to form bundles on their terms so that they can benefit from the amazing benefits of bundles.
How does bundling work?
Our goal is to make this insanely easy... so easy that you can create a bundle in minutes and start sharing the link with customers. It works as follows:
- Create an account and link your Stripe account.
- Create a bundle.
- Input your bundle participants (email)
- Input the product you want to include in your bundle.
- Input the price and any savings for your bundle.
- Once all participants confirm their participation and join the bundle, your bundle link is ready!
How does the subscription work?
BundlePay works with "open subscription platforms". This means that any platform that enables you to manually create/add subscribers for the service. Substack, Revue, Ghost, Memberful, & Discord are all good examples of open subscription platforms. Once you have your subscription bundle created and link ready:
- Share your link with potential customers.
- When Someone subscribes they will appear in your dashboard.
- You can easily export the list of subscribers and add it into your service offering to grant them access to your subscription product. Each bundle participant does this separately for their service.
We are also working on direct integrations for some of the above platforms and will keep you posted as we build these. Please do let us know if you have any feedback or recommendations on this!
How does payment work?
Since you link your Stripe account in onboarding, you'll set up all payment, bank account, and tax info with Stripe. This ensures that your privacy is protected and that you will receive all payments as they come in. Payments are distributed to each participant in the bundle according to the price they set within the bundle creation flow.
What are BundlePay fees?
BundlePay takes 5% of the total subscription bundle.
Stripe processing fees account for 2.9% + $0.30
We're happy to work with you on enterprise pricing/discounts as well. If you feel that this payment structure won't work for you but still want to harness the power of subscriptions feel free to ping us at team@bundlepay.co
